I am a professional bus driver and have been for many years ,and all i can say is the drivers highest priority is comfort and safety of passengers,this job can be made very difficult sometimes because people just do not respect the size ,and weight of these vehicles ,thus people just pullout ,cut you up or pedestrians think they will just bounce off.i had a rule,and that is if you are to damn ignorant to respect the possibility that you might be very seriously injured or die,then i wont hit the brakes for you ,because there selfishness may cause a passenger,especially elderly,to fall ,and be injured,but hitting the brakes is a natural reaction,so it is not always possible to avoid.

first of all there is a sign inside the bus that says passenger must remain seated untill the bus has stopped. unlike other road users bus drivers have a timetable to run to if they run early people miss the bus if they run late people moan. the time tables take little into consideration about traffic coditions and are usually set by a person in a car driving round the route at a quite time of day. also the bus as just enough time to get into top gear before it has to stop again.if the driver does not stick to the time table he is repramanded by his boss because most councils.whom the bus company runs for impose fines for not runing on time most bus driver are very good at there job and have a lot of hassle from both the public and management. if the driver is breaking hard it probably because he is trying to make time up between stops so he doesnt get a rollocking when he gets bagk to the depot

As a experienced bus driving force, i've got self assurance that i could say some thing, first they do no longer look to be experienced to play passenger pin ball, they are experienced very fairly i ought to upload to a extreme widely used,its only while they have been utilising for years that they bypass somewhat mad, some drivers do harm aggressively( there is not any could under any circumstances)others cant help it possibly the bus desires greater maintenance,there is one ingredient nevertheless no longer many can negotiate there way around London's slender streets,additionally do you recognize the version between a REQUEST provide up and a obligatory provide up, that's a purple logo WITH AWHITE lower back floor IS obligatory a WHITE logo WITH purple background IS REQUEST, continually positioned your hand out at top Angles out of your physique in sturdy time for the driving force to work out you, that way passengers have a delicate experience.

Probably because some idiot in a car just cut it off, I am sure the drivers are not trying to hurt the elderly and children on board.

They have a boring life. Let them have a little fun!
In all seriousness, air brakes are different from hydraulic brakes. It may be the design that makes the brakes work this way, not the driver.

Mainly because the passengers don't give the driver enough notice that they want to get off at the next stop. If he goes past the stop he gets an earfull of abuse.

Cuz they hate their jobs. Probably hate their lives. They may hate the people on the bus that are probably rude to them so that's their revenge. They probably giggle menaically after you stumble and get off the bus.

Because mankind has eliminated nearly everything that preyed
upon us this is natures way of addressing an overlooked issue ;
how do we weed out the weak, unfit, and just unlucky?
