Where can I get one from and how much do these things cost?

Thanks everyone for your answers.... I tried the junkyard but where I'm from stickville, va. There isn't much to choose from.. ahh that stinks.... but your answers are on the bright side... yea!!!!!!

ouch. The flywheel itself is not expensive at all, it's just a disc with teeth on it that goes between the ENG And Transmission. Guess what part costs the most? It's getting the old one out and the new one in. Unless you know someone to do it, you are looking at about 300-400 (and that's going low). The flywheel itself shouldn't be more than 60.

Junkyard. Plenty of 99 Cougars there. $15.

The flywheel itself will most likely run around 35 but the work of dropping the drivetrain and putting it back up is what su*ks.

Look in the yellow pages for salvage yards. They should be able to sell you a good one cheap. If you need a new one for some reason, an auto parts store, or a speed parts shop should be able to order one for you cheaper than you could get one from the Ford dealer.
