I just bought a used 1996 Dodge Avenger, but since it is my first car I do not know how to go about getting it on the road. It has a rejected inspection sticker due to loud exhaust, but problem was fixed. Do I need to inspect firsts or register? Or do I have to buy insurance? Car will pass insurance just dont know where to go or what to do first. Please help me out I need to get it going before I go back to college.

Here is the situation....
My ex husband has a friend who has an older car sitting on his property which belongs to his friends brother who is in prison for life...not getting out.
The title is lost, and my ex's friend wants him to take the car. It will have to be towed, it is over 30yrs old and my son will restore it.
How or what to do since the owner of the car is in prison for life and told his brother to get rid of it anyways?
Is there such a thing of a mechanics lien? Or what to do about the title?

I'm so used to a stick shift that now that I have an automatic I was wondering if putting the gear into neutral at a stop light would save the transmission from wear and tear?

say on a rainy day and u drive on a paved road, do u use 2WD, 4H or 4L?

What if its a rainy day when you're on a rough road, which do u use?

some choose a long stroke, and others choose ashorter one...

based on what do they choose these specifications???
what are the advantages of the long stroke???

I live in San Antonio, and I am a dude with highways.

I will describe these locations. First, from Huebner bound to 410:

If you enter from Huebner or DeZavala, you will see an exit sign that says, "Frontage Rd." This is seen from I-10 East.

From I-10 West, bound to 1604:

After UTSA, around the transfer to 1604, there will be a sign saying, "Frontage Rd Park & Ride." This is from I-10 West.

Now, I see no street sign or anything, so what is this so-called Frontage Road?

You know those small yellow roadsigns you sometimes see (mostly next to the motorway), with maybe a hollow black circle or triangle inside? Well I never knew what they meant. Are they for lorry drivers, or agricultural vehicles, or what?

Please help me settle my curiosity.

In my car (left hand drive) I have a 6 spd manual. First and second are closest to me, reverse, 5 and 6 are furthest from me. Follow me so far? Well, how about...
in a right hand drive car? Will this be the same? ie) first and second closest to me, or will it be 5, 6 and reverse beside me?

I looked on the Mazda.co.uk and it appears all that has changed in the car is the instrumentation... it appears reverse etc is closest.. how confusing is THAT!! But I cant tell for sure, its quite small and blurred if I expand the image..

Please let me know, I'm very curious! (and I can never catch my British neighbour to ask him, LOL)

Thanks!
