In my car (left hand drive) I have a 6 spd manual. First and second are closest to me, reverse, 5 and 6 are furthest from me. Follow me so far? Well, how about...
in a right hand drive car? Will this be the same? ie) first and second closest to me, or will it be 5, 6 and reverse beside me?

I looked on the Mazda.co.uk and it appears all that has changed in the car is the instrumentation... it appears reverse etc is closest.. how confusing is THAT!! But I cant tell for sure, its quite small and blurred if I expand the image..

Please let me know, I'm very curious! (and I can never catch my British neighbour to ask him, LOL)

Thanks!

The transmission in a right hand drive car is the same as a left hand drive, so First gear in the right hand drive will be away from you. Confusing? If you grew up driving the car that way, doing it in a left hand drive car would be equally confusing. But, you get used to it.

the order of the tranny remains the same so first and second is furthest away from you to your left
