If youre not really into trying to race it r be competitive...
just stuck with a basic kit and some nice rims.
Avoid putting any company logos on the car.
Basic mods...

Projector Headlights
Altezza Tail lights
Rims and Tires
And dress up the interior.

The Hatch Civic is a great car and will last some good miles with the proper car and maintenance.

I'd wait until you get some practice in (or else you might mess up your new body kit)...performance mods are way more important than exterior stuff, even if you're not going to be racing. I mean it's an '89 Civic, I'd sleeper it or get another car.

find out if the car is going to keep on running,,you don't want to invest too much $$, if the engine is not going to last...
Once you add a body kit, you probably have to replace the tires and rims, to match some of the enhancement..

Yes, save your money and invest for the future. Remember, a car is for two purposes, to get to point A to B and then B back to A.
