How could I make my car spit out flames through its exhaust just like in the movies?

They do make exhaust tips that do this basically by making a small flame/spark at the tail pipe. This is probably similar to what they use in the movies and produces a flame by igniting the exhaust fumes.

For any normal car to be throwing flames out the tailpipe, it normally means the car is running very rich wish isnt good for your car or performance. It depends a lot on the set up though, for example race cars with extremely high octane, revs, higher compression, and less restrictive exhausts can help to produce flames without running rich, but its not real possible to do with your everyday car. Furthermore if you did have a car set up with shorter less restrictive exhaust, race fuel, among other things, the flame probably wouldn't be nearly as impressive as you see in the movies. I believe you can get the tips that produce the look fairly cheep on ebay, I remember seeing them, but to get a car to actually do this would be a challenge and would most likely mean your running way to rich(to much fuel compared to air in the combustion chamber). Well hope that helps some, good luck with the exhaust...

Hunt the classifieds in a Hot Rod magazine. Install an afterburner kit is the easy way. Or just add a magneto, weld a spark plug into each tailpipe near the back, and inject propane, or gas and there you are. Alcohol will burn, but the flames are often not visible so that sort of is pointless. If your motor is carbureted you can run it way rich and enough raw gas will be going out the pipes to produce a quite satisfactory flame.

I found a kit a t a local outo show that took raw fuel and ignited it in a ceramic coted tail pipe. it cost 130 bux and the guy gauretued that i could instal it in a weekend. u could google it and try to find the kit....... or depending on what type of car u have you could adjust the timing on your engine so that not all the fuel is ignited in your engine. if u run ur car straight pipe and did the timing trick, fuel would build up in the pipe until booom. i worked on a sandrail once with this problem. we roasted a marshmellow 10 feet behind it. but the wind from the egsausted kinda blew the marshmellow off. lol. have fun but dont drive infront of me

I know you didn't use the word "safely", spark plug about one foot back on the tail pipe. connect a high discharge constant discharge coil , drill and insert a propane line into the tail pipe just forward of the spark plug with a back flash valve. and make sure you don't open the valve (electric) before you have a good exhaust flow. Gas tank, propane tank, spark---- reason why stunt people wear fire suits and get paid to do this.

I almost answered this one, but I can't. There's too much risk. For all I know, you're only 16 and you'll blow yourself up. All I'm going to say is "sparkplug", you'll have to figure the rest out. (Big flames...Don't do it.)

Run your car on nitromethane. You'll need a few engine mods for that though ;)
