I have riding lessons soon and then may be looking to buy. I want a bike I can occasionally take on 2-6 hour trips but mostly around the city. Have kids too so want them as safe as possible on the back. Sportster, hard tail, soft-tail, fatboy are some terms Harley uses. All types have cheap touring and expensive. How much bike do I need? Is it much harder to ride the bigger bikes?

Started my 125 today for the first time in about a year. Ran very rough and a silver liquid leaked out of a black overflow tube from the head. opened the crankcase to check oil and it was same color. What is going on?

My buddy has a busa (gsxr1300) and well...he is a whole lot faster than my zx-10. I've been wanting a zx-14 for a while now, but i'm having second thoughts. I really want to be faster than my bud, jus for bragging rights but i heard a zx-12 could out run him, so i wouldn't need a zx-14 right? Is a zx-12 quicker?

I was brought up in the UK and went out loads on my dads bike (Royal Einfields, BSA and a Triumph) and I can remember all bikers giving a casual wave.

This doesn't seem to happen anymore with all these idiots on their plastic missles and matching leathers!

2002 Harley Custom 1200 Sportster. House of Kolors paint job about 2 years old. I think I overfilled the gas tank last time and the bike was sitting for about 7 weeks while my kids were here for the summer. Just looking someway to fix the bubbling, around 4 small bubbles just circling the gas tank opening.

I was driving my Honda recently and the engine stopped while idling. As the bike is old, I checked the sparkplugs and one was covered in oil. I changed both plugs and started the bike again. It performed better then it ever has before, but after only a couple minutes, it stopped once again, this time kicking while I was in 2nd gear and refusing to rev when I gave it gas. It seems to be the same problem. I walked it home and adjusted the idle level, and no problems there. The bike seems to be putting out a lot of smoke, which seems to me to mean that it’s burning oil? My cousin suggested that I change the air filter because it was running too rich, but would that cause it to stall out like that? Also, I have noticed that there is oil coming out of the exhaust. Dripping mostly, not much at all, but I wonder if they are related? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
