this is my first street bike, ive had dirt bikes and i still own a 2005 yamaha raptor 660 quad. and riding wheelies on it is no problem. but from what ive heard and researched on is that the 2006 yamaha r6 (not r6s) is verry diffirent from any bike cause its the first of its kind. i tried bouncing it to get the front wheel of the ground and no luck but i did dump the clutch and it came up but the rpm was verry high. any help would be awsome

I was told when I bought it that the head would probably need to be re tightened. What are the torque specs for this model? Also, what pattern should I tighten them in?

there are ONLY two reasons that i can think of, tell me if you agree.

1.) you THINK it makes you look cool (it does not btw)

2.) youre just a complete idiot and dont know how an engine works.

I have a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 800
I was wondering if regular motor oil like for a car will be OK to use
The dealer said there are special additives in motorcycle oil for the clutches
Is this TRUE or do they just want to make a sale

Would it be totally lame if I got a 150cc moped scooter? Not the little Vespa ones, but the ones on steroids that are big and can go like 70MPH. I figure it's good on gas, very affordable, and I live in San Diego where the weather's awesome. Plus, I have no need for the freeway when I get around town. Practical or lame?

How does it work, and what are all the parts involved?

I'm driving an 2005 Omni OMX-600. It's a little two-stroke engine and usually getes 40mph tops. (Spec to get 45). I'm still breaking it in though, so I don't open the throttle up all the way.

I've been reading about these governors on scooters like that limit the speed, or at least limit the max RPM of the engine.

Can someone help me know how these things work, and what the pros and cons are of removing / modifying one?

It seems that making the max RPM higher could hurt the engine, even if it did allow me to go a bit faster.

If I was going to remove it, how would I go about doing it? It seems that these governors take different forms sometimes.

What do you think?
