Is it legal to have a motorized scooter in new jersey?

Can I drive it on the road? Do I need a liscense?

Yes you need a license for it. It's an M2 license. You can drive it on SOME roads. Go to the DMV and ask for a booklet so you can take the test. If you have a regular driver's license, I believe you only have to take a written test.
