I drive on a 4-lane interstate highway. Every day. 1 hour one way, two trips, for 30 years now.

These are the things that make me crazy;
Nobody drives the posted speed. Either 5-10 miles over, or 5-10 miles under.
Slow drivers drive in the LEFT lane.
People who pass you on the left, get in front of you, and then slow down SLOWER than you were driving. Either slow down yourself, or pass them and get in front of them!
Slow down because a car is on the side of the road. Slower if the hood is up, slower if they are changing a tire.
Drive FASTER in construction zones.
I am in the right; so drive on my bumper! because I am driving the POSTED SPEED. Do not try to go around me, just follow me very closely to some-how try to FORCE me to drive faster.
And my favorite; speed, but slow down quickly and match my speed beside me (I am in a van) for miles. When they do that, I slam on my brakes and get real slow. Then they slow down to try to match my slower speed. ???
What drives you crazy?

I understand that I will probably have to take an additional bus or cab, but can a ferry get me in the Novato area?

If so, is there a site I can view for prices, travel time, and schedules?

If you are in the HOV lane driving fast, no one can see you. Its happening in Los Angeles already, and I was wondering if any of you have tried it, and what do you think ?

Don't you think if there was a freeway that went from somewhere near Tracy directly to San Jose, there would be much less traffic on the 580.

I have a car which is not in good condition, it is old and has high mileage and I sometimes have to drive it to nearby towns, I don't have a cell phone either so I really don't know how to survive if one day my car breaks down on road or highway specially during cold and windy days or at night.

Currently I commute 2 hours per day to work from the san fernando valley to downtown Los Angeles. I have been doing it for 15 years and have grown weary of commute. If I sell my 1500 sf condo and buy a 800 sf condo, I sacrifice patio, garage, balcony, etc., for a small place in City. Im 55 years old and have at least 10 more years to work. I can't seem to make up my mind. Any thoughts?

I was driving on a one lane road and one other vehicle was coming behind me with the head lights on high beam..it was absolutely annoying as it was piercing my eyes by reflecting in my rearview mirror . My question is how to let them know that they are being very insensitive to other drivers. I could not even move out of his way as I was on a one lane road. Please suggest.
