Road Etiquette?

I was driving on a one lane road and one other vehicle was coming behind me with the head lights on high beam..it was absolutely annoying as it was piercing my eyes by reflecting in my rearview mirror . My question is how to let them know that they are being very insensitive to other drivers. I could not even move out of his way as I was on a one lane road. Please suggest.

You have to remember that the road is in front of you 4-get what the butt-hole is doing behind you...you can flip your mirror up(or down-depending on how it is set) there is a little "flip switch" on the bottom of the mirror in the middle, this is there for that reason (bright lights behind you). You will still be able to see the rear it just looks "tinted" (get in the car now and try it--you dont have to anywhere :)...the rules of the road(dmv)...you tap ur brakes 3x if some1 is following to closley. Me and my mother rules are if they don't get off your tail when you tap brake lights---then by all means "hit your brakes" jus hard enough...make the car jump(u may have to do this more than once). evry1 knows that if i hit you from behind its "my fault!!" I'm pretty sure they'll bak off...probably off other people too...b-cuz you will definitely be on their mind.

--If you have a sunroof...and coffee...open sunroof/moonroof throw the coffee in the air and hit the gas...hard. if they are close enough the coffee will land right on their car. (throw it high or it wll b on your car)..

remember: don't pull over (to many idiots on the road-shooting) wear your seatbelt :)

Well if you cannot move over and let the aggressive driver by,

you can either slow down slowly and let this driver pass you,

or you can tap on your brakes very lightly two or three times

to let this person know, "your high beams are on", or just do

this: adjust your mirrors to get the light out of your eyes and

just continue down the road as if this person what not there.

In the state of OR, you can get a hefty fine for tailgating, and

I'm sure other states have or will have adopted this law soon.

Unfortunalty these days, if you try and tell someone their wrong on the road, you may find yourself in the hospitol or dead. Really the best thing to do would be to move your mirrors so the light dosen't interfear with your driving. You can always try the informal way of the slowing down to barely moving speed, which may piss them off even more, but sometimes they get the hint. Really, you don't want to risk if they are a psycho and carring a gun. Hope this helps a little.

U don't have to use ur brake lights toget his attention. Just use your rear foglights instead then you can flash them on and off as many times as you like. Or use ur hazard lights or just keep slowing down which will annoy him then maybe he'll get the message.

But in other situations, if you're going too slowly on a normal winding road at night and YOU DON'T have YOUR full beams on and theres no traffic coming the other way then don't be suprised if the person behind you flashes you or just puts his full beams on so that he can see ahead to overtake you. You should always put your full beams on in that situation and it can be dangerous not to. I have no issue with blinding people who refuse to do it so that i can see to overtake.

Tap your brakes about a few times and if that doesnt work move your side view mirror so it is reflecting his lights back at him and if that doesn't work just honk your horn.

Flip your rear view mirror to the "block bright lights" setting and forget it. You can't make idiots smart.
