I have a car which is not in good condition, it is old and has high mileage and I sometimes have to drive it to nearby towns, I don't have a cell phone either so I really don't know how to survive if one day my car breaks down on road or highway specially during cold and windy days or at night.

It's called be prepared. Make sure you check all fluid levels before engaging in a road trip. Check your tire's, get together a tool kit that has a varity of tools to work on your car. If you suspect a bad part, belt, starter relay. what ever, visit the Junk yard and bick up an extra. When you pick up the extra park 9 times out of 10 you'll have to pull the part your looking for, so you'll gain experience pulling the part and working with tools if they are unfimilar. Next be sure to carry a sleeping bag, a coulple if you have room, flares, A portable CB radio (cheap) Jumper cables, a spare tire that has been checked. Candles for cold weather and food and water, If you don't know how to do a simple repair on your car have some one show you. And if you are'nt interested in learning be sure to include a Tow strap in your road trip kit, because you'll need it. This sounds like a lot and you would be surprised to see the number of people who are prepared, even with a newer Vehicle. Good Luck

Well, You could try a solid preparation plan. Store blankets, water, a flashlight and warm sox and clothes in the boot. Really, though, you have a responsibility to operate a road-worthy vehicle Also, cell phones are really inexpensive these days, try a pay-as you-talk plan.
Unwise and not always safe to have a crap car. If you cannot afford a better one, perhaps you should consider alternate forms of transportation.
