I understand that I will probably have to take an additional bus or cab, but can a ferry get me in the Novato area?
If so, is there a site I can view for prices, travel time, and schedules?

If you really want to take a ferry, you'd probably take the Blue and Gold ferry: http://www.blueandgoldfleet.com/ to Tiburon, but it's still 20 miles to Novato from there. Or the Golden Gate ferry to Larkspur which is 15 miles from Novato.

The ferry as far as I know only goes to Vallejo, here is their website
