All right, I am going to try to pose my question in the confines of math since I feel it helps make it easier for me to ask my question. Now, I am trying to understand how exactly does the fee system work in a cab. Take for example two destinations (let “A” be the starting point, and let the destination be “B“). Does a cab fee cover simply the travel from A to B, or does it cover the total trip there AND back - which would be A to B and B to A?

I assume the latter because if not, wouldn't the cab always be in a deficit? For example, if I paid X amount of money from getting me from A to B and the travel back from B to A was on the driver’s own expense, then wouldn’t that just cancel out the money/gas earnings s/he just received from me? Understand now that I never ride back with the cab. If a cab takes me home, s/he does not just sit outside my house, s/he has to drive back to destination A. Therefore, does s/he lose out on that pay or is the charging system setup so I pay both ways?

My husband and I were dual military. I just got out of the military and he is due to be out in February of next year. The plan is for me to stay out here with him in our apartment until about the end of November. Then I will go home and buy a house and start college in January and everything will be set up when he gets out of the Military in February. Here are the questions:
Should he take two weeks vacation to pick the house, then I stay at home and buy it? If so, I would have to buy a round trip plane ticket (San Diego to St. Louis) and then I guess drive my car back to St. Louis.... where would I keep my stuff while going through the buying process? Who would I live with? WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY CATS? I don't think that they would get along at either of my parent's houses because they have dogs. How am I going to get them there? Car? Plane? We are so confused, someone please give us some tips!

I will be moving from Ohio to California. I am looking for recommendations regarding truck rental companies which would allow a one-way move. I would also appreciate any warnings.

Oh yeah, ain't that a hoot? TWICE now, not once, I have had obviously intelligent (ha) people honk at me, while behind me in line at the night deposit box. I wasn't even there very long.

Yes, you got me. I was napping right here in the bank drive through. Nothing else to do. Whaaa??

The guy behind me honked at me! Alll you did moron was make me stop counting and look in my rearview mirror, now I have to look down and start counting again!

Do you think I just hang out here? Oh, I know. I guess I'll stop my transaction and leave so you can do yours, and I'll come back later. Is that not ridiculous?
I can see if you are at a green light and haven't noticed, although I don't do that to people, but at the ATM you are obviously DOING something.

How impatient are people getting? Unbelievable to me. Whew. I need to cool down now just thinking about it. :):)

Im a driving instructor who was asked this by one of my pupils and i honestly don't know. With a right hand drive car alot of work is done with the left hand so it is plausible. If so do right handed people find it easier to drive in america or on the contanent?

What does this mean?

I've recently increased my interstate driving time exponentially.. and at night I notice when a semi is passed by a semi, it sometimes flashes its lights at the other semi.

Sometimes they do it to non-semi's too.. it was done to me one time.

I have my license, but I really hate driving. Not because of pollution, but because I suck at driving and I'm doing everyone on the road a favour by NOT driving.

Anyone else suck at driving?

Why don't they bring back bus conductors?
Travelling on a bus full of schoolkids is a nightmare. The swearing, pushing past people and general lack of respect is a real problem to other passengers. The bus driver understandably is too busy driving the bus to do anything, and even if he did, what could he do? He needs backup.
