I'm looking for a dedicated outdoors vehicle for bikes, surf, camping, occasional off roading and some general driving. I hate buying cars in the first model year, and I don't like the horrible MPG of the FJ. However, I am not sold on the Element's quirky styling and the econo-box rep of Honda (cheap materials, feel). Even worse, none come with GPS.satellite nav.

I am going to try and unwind the deal...it gets 19 miles to the gal and is suppose to get 40... dealer response...it is learning you! it needs to get broken in!...and my favorite must be the way i drive!

There is a considerable amount of negative reviews about Prius on the Toyota website. Is this a good car? Is it really that fuel-efficient?
What are its positives? What are its negatives, if any?

I'm talking about the 2006 model.

do the camry manufacturer warranty covers the dvd navigation, bluetooth phone, push button start, and other amenities? Or do I have to buy an Extended Warranty to cover these items?

i was thinking of getting a toyota tacoma or ford ranger as my first vehicle. the tacoma is very reliabe but i'm not sure about the ranger. i know the tacoma lasts a long time no matter how many miles it has. which is a better truck for me to get.

My personal mechanic and a Toyota mechanic have both told me that there is a leak coming from the Power Steering Pump. For right now, it's not a big issue but over time it will become a big deal. Toyota told me that the pump itself is $349.00! Does that price sound about right or should I shop around elsewhere? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
