My car, Nissan Maxima, has some issues.....and I had already asked a question about coil packs and fuel injectors. So, that being resolved, I was wondering this:

The man at the repair shot (not a dealership) told me I was only running on 4 cylinders and its a V6. How is that possible? Is that possible? I bought the car used, and when I drove it home, I thought it ran pretty decent and it was fast, I think 180-190 HP. I do notice a difference when I'm driving since the coil pack and 2 fuel injectors were replaced, but I don't see how it's possible I'd be running on only four cylinders. Anyone have any insight on this?

Ok, I just got a 98' Maxima and from what ive seen so far, the same year ish' 300zx and the maxima share a jq30 motor. i could be off on the motor but is this true? if so what is ideal to take from the 300 and put on my Max? im assuming the turbo wont fit, due to the fwd/rwd set up on the max and 300? any answers that help thanks.

i recently brought a 06 nissan sentra, it drives nice, but the only thing is is that i am going to have to take it to be serviced because when i drive with speeds on or above 35 mph my doors start rattling. I also have trouble with my speakers. when i play my music, i can sometimes hear a kind of rattling noise coming from my speakers. i can tell that the speakers are not blown but this is the kind of sound i am hearing. i know i did not pay for all this to be happening. if the same things are happening to you please let me know how did the mechanics fix your problem cause i still hve the 36000/3yr warranty. Also when you take your car to the dealer to be serviced, do you have to sign that consent form they give you that says that you authorize them to fix any problems wrong with the car, because it basically holds you liable, and they do not have to ask you permission to fix the car.

My choice is Nissan Fairlady 350Z. Put in a 3.8 litres JUN stroker kit, APS twin turbo & intercooler kit, Carbonetics triple carbon clutch & carbon LSD, Aragosta coilover kit, Motec ECU, Veilside bodykit & voila!! A 800BHP JDM monster rear wheel drive monster with carbon propeller shaft!!

I've read a great modification guide but am wondering what else to do. It's a manual and I'm at Stage !! now. I have a big K&N cone filter, removed all the A/C, removed interior, spare tire, and just loads of other "luxuries", dropped off all piping immediately after the catalytic converter few days a go, that helped alot and also got an electric fan but what else can I do cheap as possible? I have a boost controller but need a boost gauge and then I will install that to up it to probably a safe 9psi but anything else I should know before I do that or some hints?

I have read problems about 05 Altima owners being dissatistifed with their altimas due to struts, reliability, etc. Is this why so many 05 Altimas are available at dealers right now? Do most of them secretly suffer from these problems, but the dealers are trying to get rid of them? Thanks (specifically with the auto 3.5 SE)

First and foremost, price. I'm only looking to spend at most $250.00. I read some reviews of the Centerforce Stage 1. Most of the reviews said that the Centerforce are more for v8's and not imports. I have heard that Zoom! clutches are better for imports. But, of course, I'm not so trusting of people that do not own the same vehicle as I do, so that's why I turn to you all. What's the best clutch for that amount of money that I can put on my vehicle that will outperform the stock clutch and stay at a reasonable price?

My parents bought it brand new in 1995, it is running beautifully, we have about 148,250 miles on it. My estimate from my testing, while coming back from a vacation we were cruising at 70-75 mph and it was a 350 mile roadtrip, and my stimate was 22-23 mph highway and about 17-18 city. Is this accurate. I have a GXE model. Any comments complaints on this car.

Ive searched on ebay and different websites but all they have available is for the 2.5 ser and for the 1.8. Maybe one of you guys knows this. Does the SER exhaust fit on the 2.0 SE with the engine size difference. Please let me know. Any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
