In general after how many miles does the catalytic converter go bad on 1999 Honda Accords?

I just bought a 97 Honda Accord VTEC JDM engine with 42k for $800... is that a good price or did I get ripped off ?? ...(sorry if I put all those letters in the wrong order..lol)

We are looking at purchasing a new rig but I am concerned about front-wheeled drive - versus all wheeled drive or 4wd. We have seasonal snow and ice where we live.
How has the Accord performed in snow or ice?

This happened only for 1-2 times in the morning when I was idling, after that there was no problem with idling/running the car. The car seems to running fine but the "check engine" light is still ON. I took the car to the mechanic and the code was found to be P0505 related to idling system. But I dont have any problems with the car and am perplexed whether I should take the car to the mechanic(80$/hr) or do some checks myself, if possible. Please suggest what can be done on my own to check what might be wrong especially since the car doesnt seem to have any problems.
Can someone help?

I do not know much about cars I bought my Prelude in 95 and has been great. I do have the follwing 2 issues, and I am not sure if it is the same problem. 1) I constantly loose presure on the clutch pedal. I refill with Dot 3 brake fluid avery month or so. 2) I am unable to accelerate like have in the past. Especially if I am going uphill. Even when I am going at a decent speed, if I increase presure on the gas pedal the RPM's shoot up, but I do not accelerate. I have to give a little presure on the gas pedal, Cannot even press down half way to the floor before the RPM's shoot up. I am not sure if replacing the clutch is the right solution. Any information will be helpful. Thanks

I want to soup up my old 1986 Accord, considering that I haven't the money for a new car. This car has a 5 speed manual tansmission, and a old school Carburetor. If anyone has suggestions on where to find CHEAP parts, or any ideas of a "do it yourself" preformance mod, PLEASE CONTRIBUTE!!

We have a Honda accord w reg automatic we want to sell, my partner bought it 2nd hand. It just says accord on its boot and the paperwork says vtec 2.0. How do we tell if its a SE, SE executive, SE executive sport etc???? Any ideas?

Anyone know where I can get a hold of some 1986 Honda Accord parts for cheap. I want to get some sort of body styling for a little cheaper that the usual $600. There is a relay box under the left side of the dash but it has 5 relays in it of different sizes. I can't find anything in the manual that designates one of those as the cigarette lighter relay. I need the relay number or a picture or something to identify it.
