We are looking at purchasing a new rig but I am concerned about front-wheeled drive - versus all wheeled drive or 4wd. We have seasonal snow and ice where we live.
How has the Accord performed in snow or ice?
Thanks in advance

The Accord's performance in snow and ice depends mainly on your competence as a driver, and how well you maintain the car.

The Accord is FW drive, which means it will be slightly easier/more difficult to drive in snow, depending on what you're used to. I went from a RWD car to a FWD car, and it took me some time to adjust to the handling differences in snow..

Tires, tires, tires...I think you get the point.
Test drive a Subaru...Much more solid, slightly less reliable (slightly) standard all wheel drive.
You will be pleasantly surprised. Oh, so I do not get a violation...The accord is average along side it's equals in the snow W/OEM tires.
( I live in the north east)

It's all in the tires my man. Go to tirerack.com. Each and every tire they sell is tested and rated for: Wet & dry traction, tread life, noise, light and heavy snow, dry traction and many other valuable ratings. It's a valuable shopping tool weather you decide to purchace directly from them or elsewhere. I've been purchasing from them for 22 yrs. Great company, all name brand stuff, no blems, seconds or anything objectable!
