i've a 97 honda acoord special edition and i'm the third owner. the car has around 180k on it. i recently got the regular service done. but this weeekend the transmission broke. the car was properly maintained, but i dont know how the transmission problem came up. the CAA (toronto) guys are suggesting to get a new transmission or a used one. but the thing is that a new one will cost the same as the car, and used transmissions dont sound good either. pls provide your suggestions, what can be done now ????

Hi I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX 4dr Automatic (presant). I have a 1.75 inch catback exhaust (flowmaster) AEM cool Air Intake, and Jetchip upgrade for my civic. Is there any other way to get 10-30 more HP increase without the aid of a Supercharger, Turbocharger, NOS, or engine upgrade? Please let me know

I know how to replace the headlights. The problem is, it's not as easy as it seems to be. The black plastic housing doesn't come off by just pinching either sides of it. Also, the bulb doesn't just, unplug, I'm trying so hard to yank it out, but it's stuck in there. After tears and bruises all over my hands, my burnt out headlights are still not replaced. Does anyone relate and do they have any tricks up their sleeves to make it easier?

but the check engine light usually comes on and a flahing s light, my temperature gauge is fine so its not overheating but when i park it smells very warm.

I asked a question about a week ago about the crick-crick-crick sound coming from my 2004 Honda Accord- the dealership has looked at it and is reporting that the noise is coming from my axels, and that both will need replaced...costing me almost $900.00!!

This is completely unacceptable for such a new car to have such a major component fail! I've called American Honda and they are supposed to get back to me...something i'm not hopeful about. Selling the car is also not an option, for complicated reasons. Any ideas? Any one else with a similar car having this kind of problem?
And OF COURSE, it had to happen out of warranty!

I don't know if its a reg. 1995 or if its the half yr model or not. also, we don't know if its the EX or LX version, even the bank didnt know when they gave us the loan to buy it. the vin# just gives us a honda passport, nothing else. anyone out there work or build one ?

I have custom LED tail lights for my 04 Civic. They've been working fine for the last few months. Just recently, the right tail light BARELY shows any light when I hit the brakes, but the left one is fine. If I turn on the lights, it lights up properly, but does not get brighter when I hit the brakes.

I checked the connection and reseated it, but nothing changed. I'm tempted to break out the multimeter to check voltages between sides, but not sure what else it could be...?

During the upshift, the tach revs up from 2K RPM to about 4K RPM as if it was on neutral or park for about 1 second then goes into D2 (while the van is accelarating). The same happens when it upshifts to D3 but not too noticeable to D4. Is getting a used low mileage transmission worth or is it still repairable ? And what does the repair manual mean when it says "flaring"? Thanks.

I had a Honda Accord 1999 EX 5 speed manual. I used the cruise control very often. Recently the cruise control was stop working. The light in the console was not light up when pushed in. I had checked the fuse box, but I don’t not know which one, so I stick my nose in there and smell them to see if any burnt up. I don’t smell any. I would be very appreciated if any expert could thoroughly describe what could go wrong and how to fix it. I would like at least arm with some knowledge before bringing my car to the shop/dealer. Thanks!

Just the other day I took my Honda Accord to a local shop and got my radiator flushed. The next day my radiator was spilling and gushing coolant. I took it back the the shop and they said it was probably the cap. The guy at the Advance auto changed the cap and the radiator is still gushing. The guy at the shop-where I took my car- said it may be cracked. But for the low price of 300 some dollars he could fix it. But when they flushed the radiator the day before shouldn't they have caught this??? I think it is IRONIC that now I have a possible crack in my radiator after they just flushed it the day before? What should I do?

the 2006 was redesigned from the 2005 the back of the car at least is totally different for the 2006, so in 2008 SEDAN will there be again a totaly different design for the car? i'm only asking for the sedan not the coupe.

I just went to a dealership and they're trying to get rid of their 2006 Honda Odyssesys. There's one 2006 Touring left and he offered $34,000 for it. That was the first dealership I went to so I have no idea for comparison.
