Check the fuel pump fuse, filter and the pump itself. Check the spark plugs and wires.

Are you sure it is not getting fuel? How do you know it is not getting fuel?

If no fuel...This is a very common problem and unfortunatly everyone ALWAYS thinks it a fuel filter or pump. More then likely it is a Main Relay. The Main Relay is the "switch" that turns on the fuel pump to be able to start the car. It is a little strange that this is happening during the colder months this is a more common problem during the Hotter months, BUT if it was semi acting up during the summer it is quite possible that it has just fully gone out.

If no spark (you can check this by pulling a spark plug wire off of the Dist. Cap while someone tries to start the car if you see a spark then it has spark if not then... no spark) Then you would need to look at a coil or igniter.

Sounds like you need to replace the fuel filter or fuel pump. Fuel filter is fairly easy but the fuel pump is more time consuming and difficult for the average shade tree mechanic. Both are easily done by a professional mechanic.

Call a mechanic and ask them. My husbands does it all the time. Sometimes you can explain what is wrong with car over the phone and they might have a solution before you bring it to them. You might find out how to fix it yourself and save some big money. Good luck!
