NASCAR pulls more fans thanjust about any racing organizaiont in the world. F1 is still currently the world leading racing organization as far as fan attendance goes. But thats becasue it holds races around the world. But Nascar easily competes and holds races in the US only...for now anyhow.

Now as far as Honda getting into NASCAR, well the rumors are out there. Critics are even saying that they will be in NASCAR by 2010. Thats less than 3 years out. Toyota got into the Truck Series and basically dominated from Day 1. They started in NASCAR this year and are doing respectably well. What does that say you ask? It says that Toyota is massively competiteve and not only that has 30+ years of racing history and knowledge.

Honda on the other hand also has 30+ years of racing heritage and many upon many of Championships in every type of racing it has every put its shoes in. They started off in Motorcycle racing and was the dominate manufacturer. Also becasue fo that it projected it sales which ended up causing Triumph to go out of business. Triumph late opened it does with car sales about 10 or so years later.

Honda has stopped production (2002) of thier elite supercar the Honda NSX with its VTEC V6 rated around 287HP. Though many rumors have stated that Honda is bringing a new (NSX) with a different name that will be built around a 400+hp V10 naturally aspirated.

So will Honda build a high horsepower carburated V8 to compete in NASCAR. Honda built a mid-size truck, Ridgeliine. Its doing well and no one believed it would make enough sales to carry it into its next year.

I do beleive that Honda will get into NASCAR.This year, absolutely not. Next year, I highly doubt it. But after that I do beleive that its highly probable that they will get into NASCAR.

Then there will be even more purebreed American NASCAR hardcores hating on them like they do Toyota.

Im an American and I support our racing but you cant turn your head on another manufacturer just bercause its origin is outside our nation.

Embrace thier racing heritage and history and you will soon be able to predict who will be the next NASCAR Champion, Honda, perhaps.

These Honda's and Toyota's are just about as American as any GM, Ford & Chrysler model out there now adays. They are built in the US by AMERICANS.

GM, Ford & Chrysler are the same way, they import thier parts which are also preassymbled in Mexico and Canada and elsewhere. Even may parts from Japan. So our beloved GM, Ford, & Chrylser brands and Honda, Toyota, etc all have practically the same amount of percentage built in the US.

If oyu ask me its an American car also. Look under any hood of any vehcile out there. Something is made or imports from overseas.

They will never change the name of NASCAR. Its an American Pasttime like Baseball. It will always maintain its heritage dispite who is playing.

Why would any self respecting automobile maker want to support NASCAR, the laughing stock of the racing world. Seriously, NASCAR is like an effin staring contest, about as exciting as watching grass grow, and, frankly, those are the main reasons so many people who watch NASCAR drink...you need to be drunk to even enjoy it.

P.S.
The only reason any automobile company supports the whole deal is cause of the advertising dollars they make and merchandising.

I doubt it. Honda customers are not likely influenced by NASCAR. Maybe if Honda builds a full size truck they would follows Toyota's path to sell trucks.

i do not see that occurring for awhile yet you not in any respect understand. i understand that once Junior change into leaving DEI the proper precedence for him change into to be using Chevy's. If this can ensue, I assure Junior should be lengthy gone in a heart beat. it is in all likelihood even written in his settlement. Junior grew up with Chevy and could stay authentic to his be conscious. If absolutely everyone has seen something about his living house, there are Chevrolet issues everywhere. it is even in his saloon. They continuously say not in any respect say not in any respect yet this time I say not in any respect. so some distance as Jimmy n Jeff, i really do not understand. My wager should be that they could stay with Hendrick. Mark Martin, he willchronic something. =o`))
