I have a lot of play in the ignition and sometimes I cannot get the truck to start. Normally when you put the key in you see the check engine light and the ABS light come on, fuel pump activates and it starts right up. Then if I stop and come back to the truck and try to start it no light comes on and I do not hear the fuel pump activate. Is the an activating mechanism in the cylinder that tells the motor you want to start the truck? Could the ignition cylinder be bad?

Does anyone know what the warning chime is on the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria? The chime is the same one that sounds when you open the door or leave the keys in the ignition except that this one chimes 6 times then pauses and repeats the cycle 4 times. It does it first whenever the car is started then about every 30min after that. There are no warning lights. The seatbelts are fastened. We have two cars that just started doing this. Both of them started just after passing 30,000 mi.

I just got a 94 explorer not long ago and the rear interior door handle was broke so I replaced it... I didn't know that the pull handle part of the door panel (the part that has the window switch in it) and the door panel itself was sappost to come off together... I just unscrewed the two screws under the door handle and pulled off that pull part... Is there a way to fix it or do i have to get a hold new door panel now?

Please answer the question. I'm NOT going to sell the car for a V8 so that's not an option. There's too many mods in there to make it worth it. Ok onto the question:

I am looking to supercharge a 1996 V6 Mustang with a stock engine. It has 120K miles on it and runs better than ANY other car I've driven. I take care of it. it's my baby. I would like to know what you guys think would be a safe amount of boost. I will be using the ATI Procharger Intercooled kit. I was thinking 7 or 9 pounds. Please just let me know how much boost you think I can safely run.

Also, after this motor runs down, I am planning to get a rebuilt Morana Racing V6 engine that will produce 500 HP boosted. YES 500 HP from a V6! I talked to Tom and he said that it wasn't out of range.

Sorry for sounding brash but I posted this question yesterday and really didn't get any answers to it, just some smartass comments. If you're not going to take it seriously then please refrain from posting. Thanks

I just took my leased 2006 F-150 in to have the brake lights looked at. The dealership (I moved so I went to the closest one) told me that wires got fried and they had to order new wireing harnesses. That will be 5 total days without the truck. They said they could only provide a lease vehicle though Enterprise and would cover only $28.00 per day towards costs. Is something wrong here? I only have 13000 miles on the truck and I have to pay because Ford has a problem with their vehicle! No wonder Ford is losing marketshare! Has anyone else had this sort of problem getting a loner?
