How much are you looking to spend?

The first one to consider is the exhaust system/headers.

JBA makes amazing headers, they are bolt on and are 50 state smog compliant. From there, I would go either bassani or Dr.Gas exhaust system with an X crossover pipe.

The sund isn't overbearing but it will growl when you step on it. You will feel an IMMEDIATE difference. If you take it easy, you will notice an increase in gas mileage too.

At this point, you can also consider changing the fuel curve to match your better-breathing engine....but you will have to dyno the car and get the fuel curve mapped.....then you will have to pay a tech to install the chip and program the settings desired. Some chips have up to three settings for different driving conditions. Stock (bypass), performance or economy.

You can also add power adders after that, like superchargers (easiest), NOS or turbo (hardest to do).

check out the BamaChips website. Get a 93 octane tune and cold air intake. You will be AMAZED at how much better the car will run with just a tune. After that, a set of long tube headers and a gear change. Keep in mind, the spanish oak computers in these cars are very sensitive to mods. Most mods will require an updated tune.

If you have the money, research some of the forced induction setups for even more power.

I HAVE THE SALEEN SUPERCHARGER IT PUTS OUT A BIT MORE POWER THEN THE ROUSH. EXHAUST IS A GOOD START. CAT BACK EXHAUST WITH BASSANI X PIPE AND STEEDA MUFFLER SOUND GOOD WITHOUT THE DRONE WHEN DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. I HAVE STEEDA STAGE THREE SUSPENSION-HAS GOOD RIDE WITHOUT BEING HARSH-HAS ADJUSTABLE DAMPING . ANY OF THESE MODIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE WARRANTED BY FORD BUT THEY MAY BE WARRANTED BY THE MANUFACTURER. I HAD MINE PUT ON BY THE DEALERSHIP ITS ALL WARRANTED BY FORD. ALSO CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE SOMETIMES THEY WILL GIVE YOU INSURANCE ON YOUR AFTERMARKET PARTS. THERE ARE ALOT OF GOOD PARTS FOR MUSTANGS--JUST BE SURE TO GET A GOOD INSTALLER.. ANY ENGINE MOD THE TUNE IS EVERYTHING--ESPECIALLY ON SUPERCHARGER.
