Does anyone know what the warning chime is on the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria? The chime is the same one that sounds when you open the door or leave the keys in the ignition except that this one chimes 6 times then pauses and repeats the cycle 4 times. It does it first whenever the car is started then about every 30min after that. There are no warning lights. The seatbelts are fastened. We have two cars that just started doing this. Both of them started just after passing 30,000 mi.

I own a shop, and this seems to be an issue you should take up with the dealership. I have seen this happen with a Ford that did this when the door was either not closed good or the fuel was lower than 1/8 of a tank full. The door thing requires the contacts be cleaned with some stuff called contact cleaner, and can be purchased at a parts store or radio-shack.
The doors are bad to do this on them, and seems to be a major complaint. When you close the door there are some metal strips that make contact with the switches on the jam of the door frame. They will corrode, and/or the plunger type switches will corrode in the door itself, and must be cleaned. If I was a betting person, I would bet this is your problem, but you should still get a warning light. If you have no warning lights on, then take it to the dealership for an explanation.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

If you bought it new or not might it still be under warranty.

Get a Haynes Repair Manual at the local Auto Zone or auto parts store in your area. It will troubleshoot and show you how to fix your vehicle. Also on the Auto Zone site has a section for vehicle maintenance

cops have been promoting their previous automobiles to people for some years. it particularly is no longer that complicated to work out the previous cop automobiles, because of the fact some nonetheless have the blanked out decals on aspects. you have already experienced one situation with having the motor vehicle because it is, the cops are attracted to you. however the different area of having the attention is that undesirable people could think of you're a cop and consider out and do something to you. There are those that dislike cops, and in the event that they think of you're one, they could in simple terms attempt to run you off the line, or at worst, shoot at you. I had a buddy who offered a used Kawasaki 1000 cop cycle, nonetheless had the lighting fixtures on it. (okay to have the lighting fixtures, in simple terms no longer use them.) And he replaced into very almost run off the line by skill of somebody who thot he replaced right into a cop. So it may take place, I dont' be attentive to if it happens often tho'. it may be maximum suitable in case you could make it a diff shade so as which you will no longer get at a loss for words with actual cops. it particularly is nonetheless complicated to work out regular Crown Vics that are all white, because of the fact they nonetheless appear like an unmarked cop motor vehicle. the main important diff is a classic Crown Vic would not have the particular spotllights on residing house windows that cops do. So in case you like numerous black, that must be a danger. regrettably, in my city, the county sheriffs automobiles are all black. So each so often you in basic terms can no longer win. yet on your section, it is maximum suitable to objective and alter the motor vehicle sufficient to it should not be at a loss for words for cops. whether it particularly is probable kinda exciting on limited-get entry to highway to work out people providing you with quite some room and letting you via, thinking you're a cop!!
