I am a mechanic and looking up how hard it would be. You have to remove the core from under the dash and would say 3-4 hours. !50-300 is avarage

Like the others said The complete dash has to be removed to gain access to the heater core in 87-93 mustangs.I would estamate 5- 6 hrs labor

I would say $400 on a ford mustang you have to remove the whole dash to get the heater core out i have done a few myself. it's not hard it is just time consuming..

i have never tried to repair a heater core before. I would get a price on a rebuilt core, and a price on a junked one still useable, and see what the best price says.
Or just get a rebuilt one and carry on from there.
