i recently changed my transmission fluid. it took about 7 quarts and the mechanic said it was the worst he'd seen. he didn't think anyone had ever changed it. it has 150,000 miles on it. i was experiencing hard shifting and hearing a grinding noise when i changed the gear from park to drive or reverse. that stopped after the fluid change but it's starting up again. i've read that you have to flush it out 2 or 3 times. would that really be a good idea? thanks in advance.

Right at the dehumidifier (filter) there is a pressure sensor, right at the sensor there are 3 wires coming in, I know I can fool the sensor (if it were bad) by putting 2 wires together but which of the 3? Why is that in any other car I have seen there is only 2 wires at the sensor not 3 like this one? Can someone help me identify the 2 I'm looking for?

Can you tell what type of BMW these parts are from?
I got these parts a couple of years ago for my BMW but never installed them because later on I found out that too many modifications were needed for this to fit in my car and I couldn't afford it. Can you tell what type of BMW these parts are from? I forgot what type of car it came out of. All I Know is that it was a 2001 BMW and I was told (E 46 M54) Only 8,000 miles on it too. Now I want to sell them but I need to know what they are and how much I should ask for them. I really need the money. Here's the link to the pic's of what I have.

If flicker flicks up then just do a search on flicker for SnowSadie7 and they should pop up. What would be a good price to ask for all of it? Minus my trailer :)~

I have 2000, BMW E46 3-Series Coupe, sometimes when I attempt to start the car, the car does not start, but instead the rev counter jumps up and down hysterically. Also, the ASC traction control light turns on and does not go off easily, I have been quoted £100+vat just for someone to have a look at it! I have phoned a few independent dealers but nobody knows what it is. I have had the crank sensor and cam sensors mentioned, but they say, even that might not sort it out, can anyone help me?

Hey everyone! I'm looking at two 2002 330xi Bimmers, both are pretty much the same, but one has 20,000 more miles on it than the other, but it's $3,000 less. With a BMW, is it worth the extra $3k to get those lesser miles, or is BMW's quality really so sound that I don't need to worry?

I have a 2006 BMW 325i that has a serious tire issue. The front tires are worn out in an uneven pattern after only 12,000 miles. I am searching for more people with this problem as I have found out that this particular car has this problem with tires and BMW is only willing to give half off for new tires. This is not fair due to the time and stress this problem is causing due to noise & safety. I am also not sure if once you replace the tires that the problem will not reoccur. These tires are the Bridgestone Turanza . Please let me know if anyone has similar issues with BMW tires.

Would you say that there is a big chance that i'll have some repairs on it or is it reliable?
FYI I found it in at a dealership.

I have a 1991 BMW 325i 4 door with low profile tires ( 225/40ZR16)
and need to buy some all weather or winter tires. I've been looking for diff tires in the classifieds and all the advertised winter tires for BMW 3 model are all totally different sizes.

If I am going from *low profile* to winter/all season tires what size should I get?? Not the same size as the low profile ones right?? I think they may need to be the E36 bmw model tires, but not sure.

Help please, I don't know anything about this and I need to replace them soon, the snow is coming here!!

My friend who works in the same office said she had to come in late because her new 328 needed oil again and the dealer only adds oil to fix the problem. Is this safe or normal? Has anyone heard about this before? She said there is no black smoke coming out the back so where does it go?

This seems to be a common problem for E36 cars, and now starting to happen to E46. If you or someone you know had this problem, how was it resolved? Did BMW NA cover the (very expensive) repairs?
