I got a brand new car, I've been making double payments on it, always on time. I just want to cut down the interest.

Now the dealership is telling me that they are not going to warranty anything that they did not install. I guess that includes the engine too, huh? Bumper to bumper must mean only the bumpers (if they installed them) huh? So like all my reponses to my original question go: Just pay 30,000. for a car and "suck it up" after 3 stereos replaced in 6 months, had to have the firewall installed (never done at factory) Had to have installation installed(never done at factory). Had to have a/c hooked up, never done at factory.Dealer installed tint destroyed after 3 months. Door handle replaced after 2 months, it would not let the door close. Screws attaching driver side seat to floor board were loose. SO I guess the stripes are to be added in the "suck it up" pile I have for this car, adding up to $30,000.00 The dealership only sold me the car, that is where their responsibility ends. Moral of this story:: Walk don't buy a car.

The stripes started to fade after one month and the dealer ship took 6 months to find out that they were not OEM Ford stripes. Someone at another dealership put on these stripes and they are aftermarket. I bought this car "New" and was charged seperately on the bill of sale for these stripes. I am paying for these stripes through the life of the loan. This is illegal, isn't it? How can a new car have aftermarket parts?

I have this amazing car that I adore. It costs me a lot of money though (over 1/2 of my monthly wage) in repayments, insurance, petrol etc... I really want to travel but am having problems saving the money. I am still young (23) and have 3 years left on my car. Should I sell my car (I will get back what I have owing on it) and just go overseas... or should I keep my car and wait till its paid off before I travel? I am so confused.

I desperately need a new car, but I can't just trash my old one. Its a 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis, and it has too many problems to have any value as a trade in. The car runs, however it needs alot of work. No one locally is interested in buying it. Any suggestions of how I can get some money out of this old car?

Infiniti dealer is giving me $5000 off their lowest price for an Fx35. The car was used in the dealership as a "demo" vehicle and already has 5000 miles on it. I test drove it. It drives just like new and looks/ feels like a brand new car.

Warranty wil start the day I buy and it still has 4yrs/ 60K mile factory warranty

But I am a bit unsure whether to buy. (buyers dissonance i guess)

- Is it a good idea to buy this one?
- What issues should be considered while buying such a car

I'm a FT caregiver and need very reliable transportation to transport my loved one. Im saving for a vehicle right now and relying on a shared ride program. This isn't meeting our needs and I must buy some type of vehicle soon. Should I buy a good used vehicle? Or a new one, with warranties and all of that good stuff. I really don't want to spend more than $500. a month, including the insurance.

I'll be 16 in a few months. My parents said I needed to start getting an idea for a car. At the moment, I don't like driving, but my parents said that would change once I got my own car and had more freedom with it (go anywhere in town I want, we live in a small town). I have an older sister, who they said by my age had already picked out her preferences. I can't pick out an exact car, I'm stuck with what they get me, but I'll be gratefulf or whatever that may be. I am absolutely positive they won't get me a brand new car of any kind, but they do want ideas in the next few months so they can start looking...I'm not really into what is fashionable or anything like that. I like safe and very affordable, I'm a teenage girl who is always worried about my family's financial being. I've gone to a private school all my life and the tuition is high.

I've got a 2004 Honda Accord; 45,000 miles and 4 years left on a six year loan at 5.25%. I drive about as much as I have in the past, so I should have about 100,000 miles on the car by the time I pay off the loan. I now have the Ford X plan available to me, and I like the Fusion, not only because it's a sharp car but because it's an American car.

Should I sell the Honda and get a cheaper Fusion (at a possibly higher interest rate) or drive the Honda into the ground past 100,000 and hope to enjoy at least a few years without a car payment?

Alright folks so here is the deal. My girlfriend left to another state and I'm going to meet here there in a few weeks. She left me her car to sell. The day I go to show it to a buyer the engine starts making this loud noise. I ask my neighbor who's a retired mechanic and he said it's a rod "knocking"!! Just my luck! We can't afford to put one more dollar into this car, since we're both broke and expecting a baby next month. I'm leaving for the Air Force soon and she'll be living with parents so no need for a car now. We just got the car less than 6 months ago and paid 3500 for it. I can't just lose that kind of money. What are my options to get as much of it back as I can? Thanks!

Also, i live in an area where ther is alot of snow in the winter, but there are nice summers. And if you choose suv, which one is better, 4-wheel, or all-wheel. If you know of any good cars that are good and stylish, but are a good cheap car, can you add that?

I remember seeing this discussed on 60 Minutes. Apparently, there is a service that does all the haggling for you when you go to buy a New car. Of course there is a fee for this but I would much rather pay the fee than do the haggling. Does anyone know of a good Car Buying Service that I could use in the New York City or Central, PA area?
