In a hurry he uses LP cocks and observes TGT of both engines shooting up and gets the fire warning signals for both the engines in the cockpit. Later on it's conformed that both engines are written off. What could be the reason for this? Is it because the Pilot used LP cocks instead of HP cocks for shuting down?

I am supposed to get on a Boeing 737 and fly from Indianapolis to LasVegas and have never been on a moving plane in the air before. Tell me about what I will see, feel, hear and everything you know. If we fly over my home area, will I be able to see the familiar landmarks if it is a clear day.
