I'm thinking about getting one of these little planes to build time in when I get back to the states. Just curious of insurance cost and things that can burn your wallet during an annual.

My CFI/CFII and his son just bought one. They were quoted
$800 yr.
Re: annual. before buying, insure ALL AD's are complied with,
this can be a BIG surprise when a good A&P inspects it.

Deprnds on a lot of things . . . Current time, any previous "incidents" or "accidents", whether you have your Priate or a student certificate, type ratings, IFR ratings, etc.
I used to get pretty good rates on my 140 through AOPA. If you're not already a member, they're definitely worth it. The Holiday Cards they offer every year are great, too. You won't find them anywhere else.
