Cars & Transportation - 11 April 2007

I have tapped someones car and i know there is no damgage but they are saying its been scrapped bumper gone in etc etc. not at 2mph is there that damage as all i did was reverse into it and then brake. yeah im in the wrong but what if i am in dispute of the damage and is this classed as a civil matter. and will insurance companies be interested? pls help

to me, and there were no lines on my side of the road for it to measure my speed, but there were lines on the other side of the road. i saw a flash and i think i was doing over the limit, but i thought speed camers that flashed were only for taking photos of the rear of cars. i turned round after the flash, but there were no cars on the other side of the road. have i been caught do u think?

I have a 1977D Yamaha xs 650. Its a sweet ride, but I think it could run a lot better than it currently does. My question to pose to you is, where should I start?

Here is some info to point you in the right direction.

- The engine runs fine, but idles a bit high once it warms up
- It backfires on the left side, could be because the inner sleave of the left headpipe is lose at one end.. but i dunno
- very occassionally when i use the kick start, it will blow the carbies right off.. yeah.. crazy huh
- For all I know it hasn't had its engine tuned or carbs look at in years.

If you can give me some helpful advice, especially if you think I should just bring it to a mechanic that would be great. I'm in Sydney, Australia if that helps too.

I know that there are better tires out there but I need to know who makes a higher quality tire between Hankook and Sumitomo. The tire size is 285/35 22" for a 2-wheel drive high performance truck. Thanks
