I know that there are better tires out there but I need to know who makes a higher quality tire between Hankook and Sumitomo. The tire size is 285/35 22" for a 2-wheel drive high performance truck. Thanks

Both tires suck! Look for Toyo or Yokohama if you want a good tire at a fair price. I have driven on all of these and the Hankook is squirrly even on dry, Sumitomo wears fast. Toyo will be the best bet, if they build that size.

I've had extremely good luck with The following Yokohama tires for the past seven years: Avid touring and the TRZ tires.

If I were you go to tirerack.com and read propels experience with the tires you chose and others on their site. There's also a tire teat page for every tire they sell. I've found these pages beneficial comparing one tire to the next.

Good luck what ever your choice!

If Michelin makes one, I recommend that brand.
