My car is nearly four years old and I am thinking of selling it before it starts to develop problems. When is the best age to sell a car to get a reasonable use out of it but avoid anything wearing out?

I just want to clarify if when you have claimed for an accident where the fault is still being agreed, do you loose all 3 years no claims or not?

It seems everyday on my commute to work I come into contact with some of the most ignorant people who are severly vehicularly challenged. It's like they have no idea though they drive the same path everyday which lane they need to be in and wait until the last minute to get over for their exit even if it means cutting another car off. It happens mostly within the city. Also I would almost swear that if you dumped a gallon of water on the road that some idiot will wreck because of it. While I am at it why do people consider the left hand lane of the interstate the fast lane when inevitable there is some old man or woman in that lane who goes 5 miles below the posted speed. I mean really if you are going to drive slow get the hell out of my way, I have somewhere to be obviously you do not. Has anyone else noticed this? Surely there are others out there like me that wonder how the hell some people managed to get a license in the first place.

I've looked all around the engine but I can't find it. Does it have one?

I have a 1991 Caprice that has been maintaned good! The car starts up good idols smooth and runs fast! however, when the car reaches full opp. temp and I try to go agan the cars ignition cuts in and out compleatly. this only happens when I acelerate from a stop its like the key is shut off and then on agan. So far I have replaced the cap, wires, ignition mod, coil, and ignition swich, checked all wires going and comeing from the distributer all checks out good. However the problem persists. This only happens when the car is warmed up. O and I have replaced the TPStoo.I dont think its the timeing chain because it runs smooth at idol and all 8 cilenders fire good. The car has 65000 miles on it and burns no oil there are no leaks whatsoever.; I can cause the same thing to happen if I turn the ignition swich on and off while driveing. Any ideas out there???

I drive a 2006 Civic. The owners manual just says it should go to the dealer every 10000km for servicing. Should i do an oil change at that time only, or sooner?

and if so, is this taken into consideration by the insurers ? I have heard that red cars may have more crashes but my friend says its silver. Wouldbn't this be affected by the fact that there are more silver cars on the road than red ones ? So probably i wouyld be looking for the colour of car which has the most crashes which sells a fair amount of vehicles. ( so if you have crashed a pink car, i'm not interested i'm afraid )

It was recently reported on the news that there was a court case regarding the use of civilians for catching people speeding and the legalities of civilians carrying this out on behalf of the police. Does anyone know the outcome of this or is it still ongoing?
