Lets hypothetically say that you made $25K buying and selling on ebay and did not know the laws and didn't report it as income.

How can you fix it with IRS so that you won't get audited and convicted for a crime?

In 1995 I lived in Georgia. I don't have any recollection if I filed or not. They say they will garnish wages if I don't pay 2,583.84 within 30 days.... I looked at my W2s from that year and saw I paid 560.00(State Taxes) into the system that year ( 22k year job). They say they represent the Georgia Dpt of Revenue. What can I do..I survive off $800 disablity income at present.

My husband is in the military and we are stationed in Texas. I don't work and we just had a baby. He is the only one bringing in the income. Does anyone know how much we will receive back for our son on taxes and if he can claim me as a dependent on his taxes!? Texas Tax laws please... I don't understand taxes and the way it works if I phrased something wrong please forgive me.

I was reading the IRS guide for this credit and they have a series of questions to answer if you qualify. I am good until it gets to decision 8. Decision (8). Do you have a tax liability (Form 1040, line 46 minus lines 47, 48, and 49) (Form 1040A, line 28 minus lines 29 and 30)?

I didn't owe any taxes. So I didn't have a tax liability? If you don't have a tax liability it says you can't get the credit. Why is this the case. Thanks.

I am fifteen years old and have a job at a local retirement home. I receive minmum wage, just started working, and work only 3-4 days a week for 4 hours. Do my parents lose tax deductions because of me working?? Because they believe so and want me to quit

I have a Question about income taxes. Im only 19 so i dont really know alot about the taxes and what to do. Im doing my taxes for the first time. I have a W-2 form from working where im going to reciecve back $300. Then I have a form from the Lottery saying I owe them $200. Then I have a Interest Form saying I owe $300 for savings bonds interest. After I total everything---
+$300 W-2
-$300 Interest Savings Bonds
-$200 Lottery
Owe =$200
So Basically I owe Back $200. So when I do my taxes which im using turbo tax for the first time could I mail In a Check or Money Order for $200 with my income Tax Pamphlet. Oh Yeah and also do I have to include all my tax forms(W-2,Interest From,Lottery Form) that I received in the envelope im mailing in with my income tax pamphlet when I mail in taxes.

It shouldnt be that hard I have 1 W-2 Form, A Interest Form From Cashing in my savings bonds, And a tax form from the lottery. I was wondering how does turbo tax work. I'm sixteen, and I plan to wrap gifts and bake and sell pies and breads to earn a little money for some mission trips I want to go on. I plan to make brochures and business cards (for the services mentioned above) and give them to friends. Will I need to file any kind of taxes?

If I add my mom's name to any of the brochures and/or cards, will she have to file taxes?

note: checks will be addressed to me.
also note: we live in a state with no income tax.

I just recently started a new job in Oklahoma.

On my first pay check:
2.4% was taken out for Federal Tax.
7.7% was taken out for Social Security.
1.5% was taken out for State Tax.
Totaling 11.6% taken out of my pay check.

On my second pay check:
5.6% was taken out for Federal Tax.
7.7% was taken out for Social Security.
3.0% was taken out for State Tax.
Totaling 16.3% taken out of my pay check.

I did however earn $254.30 more on my second pay check than on my first due to some overtime.

But would this really make such a difference to take out 5% more out of my pay check?

My fiance and I live together with our 3 children-one his, one mine and one ours. His brother also lives with us. I am the sole supporter of the family, except my fiance worked about a month, cut his finger off and recieved some workman's compensation. We are fighting for the rest of his settlement, but this shouldn't be resolved until sometime next year.

Anyway, he owes back child support on the child that lives with us, and has lived with us, for 3 1/2 years (we are fighting this too because it is bogus), but if I claim him and the kids can the government take my tax return because he owes past child support? I have heard that they can if we are married, but don't even know much about that. By the way, I haven't received a dime of support from her from the mother in all of those years.

Also, can I claim his brother since I support him as well (he is 24)?

Any help would be great!

Thanks!
