If you are self-employed that suggests that you are providing the child care in *your* home and care for children from more than one family. (If you work for only one family in their home, you are an employee.)

For day care done in *your* home, you could take deductions for use of your home, the food you provide to the children and any other expenses directly out of your pocket.

Self employed and nanny do not go together. Either you are running a child care business which can deduct its ordinary and neccessary business expenses and must have a business license and perhaps a state occupational license or you are working in a private home for one family which would make you a household employee whose wages are subject to withholding of Social Security and Medicare taxes.

If you use your car to drive the kids around to appointments or activities, you could take mileage for that. Any other expenses directly related to your job might be deductible.
