Unless you are really new homeowner, one who has just bought a home within the last month, you will have received a property tax assessment from the Kansas City Tax Assessment office. This official notice indicates the address you need to send your taxes to.

One of the responsibilities of a homeowner is to pay property taxes. Trying to excuse yourself by saying that you didn't know where to send these taxes, will not be accepted. You may be charged as much as a 25 to 30 percent penalty for not paying.
