I have rented a townhouse for 22 years. Now my wife and I are thinking of moving into it, converting it to our personal residence. I have significant suspended deductions, primarily expenses, interest and depreciation, that I could not take due to our income level. If I convert the property to personal use, how can I use the suspended losses in future years?

Is it worth supporting? Can it work?Wouldn't it be better if it was passed along with major spending cuts and a change in the way govn't does business???I'm a "centrist" Dem but I think big Govn't needs to be done away with...Ironically the GOP has helped make that Govn't bigger as well as old school liberals!

I know if my Grandfather is listed as the owner then he would be responsible for the taxes if not hen my parents are. Thanks.

I have a tax problem. " I created the prtoblem, it is my fault " That said, I have a $400.oo monthly allowance for a vehicle. Wether I buy the vehicle or not, the money will be spent, either to IRS, or to the vehicle. I could use the vehicle, I am really not sure I deserve it. I feel if I just obey, then everything will fall into place. Should I buy the vehicle, or just let the chips fall ?

They put a lean on a home 5 years ago but have not contacted the home owner, they found out about the lean when they went to refinance. The person that owes the IRS has died but there name was on the home, and were trying to see how much it is without having them start to take everything. So is there anyway to find out the amount owed without putting a spotlight on everything.
Thank You

If my only income is Social Security and Military Pension? Also I have a joint account with my daughter, can the money she deposits be seized? I started a business in 2005 and it did not work out so it has been closed since May of 2006. I just received a notice of intent to levy my personal bank account. How do I go about working out a payment plan or would it be better if I filed bankruptcy and if a BK which chapter (I have tons of other delinquent accounts such as business credit cards, $60K+judgement for a broken lease etc)? I have no assets, lost my home in foreclosure trying to keep the business running and have no real extra money to make anything but a very minimal payment. The EDD is showing that I owe just over $5,000. Help please?

Some have told me to keep my W-2 as is, 0 deductions, more withheld each paycheck. I was married in Sept. 06. What would be reasons to change to married? Or stay as is? I did get a nice tax refund this year. What do you do?

I'm planning to move to New York to take a journalism job. The pay is $70,000 per year. How much will I be taxed on that amount? The reason I ask is because I'm trying to figure out how much I have to spend on rent for an apartment. Any help would be useful - I looked in up on the tax website but it was all a bit complicated :(.
