If you became unemployed through no fault of your own and your earnings were in another state, you need to go to the unemployment office in the state you live in and they will notify the other state.

However, if you are unemployed because you moved out of state, and for no other reason, you will not be able to collect.

File in the state where you currently live. If your work that qualified you for unemployment comp was in another state, they'll handle the interstate part of it.
