When I was 18 I got into debt with a credit card, so I decided never to be in debt again. I’m 25 now, although I’ve never made much money, and I’ve always made minimum wage, I became a big saver. I’m proud to say I don’t have a credit card, just a lot of debit cards. I don’t have a fancy car, I have a Nissan, but I bought it new from dealership with cash, I’m not paying for it, my car is an asset. I bought an empty lot with cash, 10 miles north where there are no houses yet, but the city is growing this way, my property already increased its value, my lot will be part of a residential area in 5 years. I wish I made more money, but I don’t. However, most 25 year olds have a negative net worth. If you add my car, my land, and savings, minus my debts which are none. I have a net worth way higher than most guys my age who make more money. That is considering most 25 year olds have a negative income.

Even though I make only minimum wage, would you consider me poor?

I checked my bank account online yesterday and noticed that i was overdrawn by 83 cents. So i tranfered 50 dollars from my savings account to cover it. The debit that put me over was post dated for the 26th which is tomorrow. I am wondering if since by the time the bank gets the debit i will have sufficient funds, if i will be charged the 25 dollar fee? If so, is there ne thing i can do about it since im only 17 and have only had the account open for a month?

I need for someone out there to lend me $98,000.00 to unfreeze my assets. I have $62,000.00 in superannuation funds, $50,000.00 equity in my home and $30,000.00 compensation claim. I have all these funds but can not access because of the freeze. I have to pay the $98,000.00 in full before I can access these funds. I'm on the edge of the cliff and about to jump, if I can not come up with a solution. Might be easier to jump but I want to live. Is there some kind hearted person out there that maybe be able to help me. I've been the banks and brokers but can't help. Please someone save me you will never regret in helping me.

I want to get a personal loan for about $5000.00 and want a low interest rate. The banks are around 12%, which is too much for me to pay back a month. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm a loan officer doing reverse mortgages for the elderly in the state of CA. The largest one to date I have done was 2.6 million. I have found this program to help so many people that are 62 or older. True this will eat up equity in there home but its there home and there equity. This is the part that kills me. Why do “some” the children of the elderly feel like this is there money and think that there parents must suffer and live a hard life with less.

My husband sucks when it comes to money and budgeting. I'll make the budget and tell him what we can spend and it's as if I'm talking only to the air. He will go and buy something if he wants it and then later wonder how our savings account got depleted. Can anyone give me suggestions, please?!

My husband has depression and was diagnosed with bi-polarism 14 years ago from a Doctor in NYC whose name he would not ever be able to recall, at this point.

Aside from a little P/T work at hotels in L.A. and NY in 1990 and 1994, he has never been able to work. That is the entirety of his work life. This illness stops him from being able to work.

He has attempted to start dozens of companies since I met him and not one has come to fruition. I work and support him and pay all the bills. I am not lodging a complaint – just want readers to understand the whole of the situation before they can advise me.

My husband has lived on one or more anti-depressants since 1999. His list: Celexa, Prozac, Zoloft, Effexor, Wellbutrin, Paxil and now back to Effexor.

He has never attempted to seek financial assistance but he wishes to now. He is so hopeful that it will work. We both are. My salary is not covering our needs and the company I work for is in financial difficulty. Thank you.

My husband and I have two car loans one at 4,800 at 4.9% the other at 14,400 at 6.15% and a credit card at 10,700 at 7.9% but we also have a mortgage. What I’m planning on doing is having my husband sign up for another credit card because the current offer is no interest till 2008 (including balance transfers, there is a fee but the max fee is about how much we pay for the finance charge in one month. What I don’t know is if I should put our tax refund toward bringing down the lower car loan so the 230 we put toward that every month can go to something else sooner or if I should put some toward the car and some toward the mortgage each month. We don’t know if it’s better to pay the min on the mortgage and put more toward the other loans or put a little toward the mortgage and one of the other loans. And yes while doing all this I do put a little towards savings each paycheck. Forgive me for rambling but I wanted to be as detailed as possible. Thanks!

Is this fraud? I got the money order from Longs drugs, and not the post office. I should've... anyhow, is there anyway of knowing if she cashed it or not? Or am I screwed? This is also through an ebay auction and she has very good, high ratings... so I dont think its likely. but then again she could've gotten it and just said she didnt because she knows I can't check...

I am taking security deposits and I am wondering what I need to call the account for accounting purposes. It is money that I can not consider cash... because I might need to give it back after a term or two.
