My husband and I had tried to sell our timeshare for three years. I found a company that did title transfers exclusively for timeshares—Timeshare Relief—and they took our timeshare right away, sight unseen. We had to pay a fee, but it was less than three years of failed attempts to sell. If only I found them sooner.

I had one and I gave it back to the Home Owners Assn. I had to pay the transfer fee. Where is it and what are the dues? Maybe someone will take it.

If you can't sell it, you might want to consider 'donating' your time to a local or your favorite charity. They can auction it off to raise funds, and you can realize a significant tax savings. You can contact a charity and see if they can tell you what your benefits would be, or talk to your tax accountant.
