My friend has some money to spend, and he decided to take a poll at work. He asked several of us whether he should spend his money on a new exhaust manifold intake for his 1969 Mustang, or if he should buy a 59" television. I'm not sure what brands he is looking into for the tv or the car accessories. I just know that the television vs. the new car accessories (which includes the manifold intake) both will costs around $2,000. The poll at work was deadlocked, (at least among those who cared to vote), and he asked to post this vote onto yahoo answers.
So, please pick only one of the two.....59" television, or the exhaust manifold intake (along with other accessories).

Thanks

I'm debating between a few online savings accounts. HSBC and Emigrant direct have similar rates (5.05%) but HSBC interest is compounded monthly whereas Emigrant is compounded daily.

What's the difference? Would it make a difference in the yield in the end?

I'm 15 and getting a job at Pizza Hut working only 3 days and 3 hours a week. Thats only $40. My problem is, I need more cash because I want to buy a pc and other things so that I can get the hang of being an editor before I go to college.
And I would babysit, but I can't drive and my mom works from like 4:00 P.M. until really late. So, any ideas on how I can earn more $$??

Yes, I do understand how silly this post is but I was watching "Sweet 16" on MTV this weekend and one parent stated that we can only spend $300,000 on this party honey and thats not even including the brand new $50,000 car that they bought her and this brat still was not happy.

Do you know what I could do with $350,000? I could purchase a house, a nice car, and live for a couple years just on that money and thats not even including the money I make from working.

I figure it like this to people who have tons and tons of money can you give me $25,000? It will not even dent your wallet.

Your probably wondering what I will do with the money right? Trust me it will not go to waste. I have bills to pay and am in the process of moving.
You can have a tax right off and know that you are a good person helping those who are not as fortunate as yourself.
So will you give me $25,000? You will have a friend for life and make a greatful young woman happy!

Hard work just doesnt pay off!

I have bought something through my friends' credit card and I have been paying the minimum amount. He also bought something at the same time and he has been also paying something every month, probably the minimum, but now everything is mixed up. I want to know how should I calculate my share of the debt along with the interests and pay him the total amount of what I owe to him.

Hello guys. Unfortunately, due to a failed business, I have no choice but to file for bankruptcy. My question is...I heard in order to file for a Chapter 7 bankrutpcy, that you must pass a means test to see if you qualify. I heard that they look at the last 6 months of your income to see if you quality. My question is..."Is that 6 months of income from the time you file for BK or 6 months of income at the time that you do the "Meeting of the Creditors?" I don't obviously have income now because of the failed business but am looking for a job in order to live. Also, does the judge take into consideration that I am filing for BK due to a failed business and not because I bought all these luxury items? For anyone that has info on the new BK laws, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

I heard something recently, and I wasn't sure if it was true or not. Is it true that when you don't use a bank account for three years, the bank closes your account and the government takes your money? And if it is, what happens if the opposite is true, you owe the bank money and you haven't used the account for three years?

I can afford to save some money. However, I have a bank loan which I currently pay off at £161/month. Would I be better paying more on my loan to clear it more quickly, or putting some money in a savings account?

I owe about 6,000 dollars in rearrages from a child I knew nothing about. I have a limited budget when it comes to finances. Is getting a lawyer more important before I pay this down or is paying this down more important...I can only do one or the other at this time.
