I'm in a Chapter 13 and getting ready to lose my house to foreclosure because I had car repairs that put me behind on my house pymt. I found out I have a lein on my house from my ex husbands business, so I can't refinance. I can never seem to get a break. It is sooo depressing, I don't feel like I'll ever get out of this mess. How do you get ahead when you can't get a break??

I'm looking for a good place to put money away in CDs or Money Market Funds. Schwab has been recommended to me by many because they have a really great website that makes it easy to transfer money around.

What are some other good companies? I want to make the best decision in order to save up to purchase a house when the market comes back down in a few years.

Thanks!

Hello,

I would like to get a personal loan to pay off my credit cards. My credit is not that good, so does anyone know the chances of me joing the local credit union and securing a personal loan with them? (would it be crazy to apply for a $5000 loan?)

I have a good job, I have never been late with my car payment. I'm just overwhelmed at all the seperate credit card payments I have. I want to start fresh & get out of debt!

About how much do you need to start an account w/ a credit union?

Any expert advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,

i would like some, actually alot of free money, does anyone have a few million they can part with, give it directly to me, set up a time and place and i will greatfully accept it, seriously now that i think of it, a few million, well even a million would get some personal projects off the ground for me, really nicely, any and all attention to this request will be greatly appreciated, just write me to my e-mail and tell me where and when, just a million, will do,

I am looking for someone or something to answer this question for me. I have a home mortgage at 5.75% with 28 years on it fixed, and I also have a student loan at 4.125% with 25 years on it fixed. The mortgage is around $200k, and the student loan around $30k. I need to know if it is better to pay off the student loan first, and then use that extra monthly payment to pay off or down the mortgage, or is it better to pay down the mortgage since it is at a higher interest rate. Both payments are tax deductible, and I am in the 28% tax bracket. I have no other debt. I am working on creating a savings account to cover expenses in case of an emergency, and I contribute the max each year to my ira account. I can not get a 401k. I have 2 young children, that I need to start saving for their college, but have not done so yet.
Anyone know of a good calculator that will let me plug in my numbers to see where I can obtain the best results with any extra income? Thank you.

I had just got a part time job at Lowe's, but I don't start that job until Feb 1st. Right now what I bring home from the deaf school is about $1000.00 a month. Can anyone please give me some good advice? I'm up to my neck.

I am 27 years old and I finally got a career of my dreams that I am thankful for this year. I pray that I get hired on for good. My questions is this:
What is the best way to save for an apartment? I will be a first time home buyer as of the end of the year or maybe the beginning of next year. I am in the process of trying to file a Chapter 7 due to a lack of job and money security. I realy do not want to do a Chapter 7, but i will have too in order to get out of debt and start anew.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Could some one give me the formula for calulating the mortgage repayment figure. Consider the following example for calulation.
Suppose the Principal is $ 250,000 ( borrowed money )
Interest is 8.00%
Time for loan repayment is 20 years
Frequency of repayment is monthly
So what will be the repayment amount = ............/ month????
I know now a days with the help of software I can just put the above figure in the respective columns and I will get the result within a second but I want to know the calculating formula so that I can calculate myself.
Thanks for your answer in advance.

I'm trying to cut down on my grocery spending this year, and all the books I've read tell me to make a price book. It seems very complicated! If you use a price book, what's the best way to start building one? Should I use my receipts, or should I just write down prices while I'm at the store?
