Me, my husband and 2 kids are barely living paycheck to paycheck, and we want to pack up and get the heck out of minnesota. We want to go to North Carolina where we will be happier and have more opportunities. We have some things figured out, but will need to save up 3 or 4 thousand dollars. What do I do? I need to get out of here!!!

I lost my job a while ago and havent been able to find anything since. I was having trouble paying a bill for T-Mobile and tryed to arrange a payment plan or something however they were having none of it....You have to pay us in full by the end of the month. I told them i wasnt working and they still wanted payment by the end of the month, they said the bailiffs would arrange a payment plan as they couldnt.

The Bailiffs contacted me, i explained the situation and they replied, we dont do payment plans..you have to pay all of it. I told them i still wasnt working and he asked if i was on benifits. No i dont qualify. then you still have to pay all of it. Finally after months they agreed to let me pay half but i have to pay them with a credit card or a cheque as they dont do direct debits....My account doesnt provide me with a cheque book or a card that can be used to pay for things...What do i do?

OK...My debt is not large...less than a few thousand dollars...but I can't seem to pay anything off or begin to get ahead because every paycheck I get is not even enough to cover the bills due at that particular time...

Think of the logic of the market we have in place. Right now, say you pay 3 a gallon. Some fool decides that a whale farting in Newfoundland will impact oil production. So, the price at the pump will rise before the next morning. Keep in mind that the oil you use now was already refined at a lower price months, even years earlier. So the things that impact the price should not be seen untill AFTER the current oil is refined. But instead the expected future price is passed on to consumers now. What a rip....

its time to start writing congress. Thats all the voice we have..

The blurb below is a headline from CNN today....its the second largest profit...ever. And they made the record profit last year. Go to congress.org and say something. In the USA, things change IF the people make it happen.

Exxon Mobil makes more than $10 billion
No. 1 U.S. oil company earns $1,318 a second - topping forecasts - but comes in just shy of a record.

but why don't people just go to a regular bank?

I am 19, I have a job at a hospital that I love, but it is always slow during the summer. I recently helped a friend with rent, and now my bank account is suffering, dumb on my part for not looking ahead. But I seriously need some cash fast. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please help. I've done the debt management thing myself. I've called the creditors to lower our APR's as low as they can go, but we have so many cards opens (& some closed) w/ so much outstanding debt that we have no $ left over a month to pay anything more than the minimums payments. With rent, doctors bills, etc it feels like there's no room to even breathe.I was thinking of filing for bankruptcy, but I don't really know what that means for the things we have. Do they take them back?
I don't want to uproot my family from the only apartment we have ever really been able to call home, but for the past 6 months, we've come close to not being able to pay rent. My husband just got a stable job, so we won't have to put our lives on the credit cards for much longer, but I don't know how we're going to make it this month & possilbly next. We already own his parents for lending us $ last month, so we can't borrow anymore. And there isn't anymore room or time for another job for either of us.

I have just rented an efficiency (studio) apartment. The heat and hot water are paid for by the landlord. I will not be using a/c, a waterbed, or electric blankets. The only appliances that will be on continuously will be my laptop, the refrigerator, alarm clock, cell phone charger and lights. Also, I will only be there for three nights a week.

What can I expect for kilowatt hour usage? The company charges a base rate of about $11 a month, and 11.417 cents per kWh.

Thanks :)

Im very responsibe because I don't like asking my mom for money and I don't like people buying me things. I feel more sucessful when I do it myself. The only thing is that I don't get an allowance and I need to find a way to support myself better. But I don't have enough time or age qualification to get a job.
