I found a Tesco Credit Card in the street so I phoned the number on the back of the card to report it.I got through to an automated service which asked me to enter the card number, so I did. Then it asked me to enter the expiry date ,so I did. Then it asked me to enter my birth date, so thinking that if I put in any obviously wrong date it would put me through to a person , I entered my 9 year old daughters birth date. It then told me the balance on the card, the remaining credit available and then realed off "my" last transactions until I cleared down. Not very high security is it Tesco?.. but as they say "every little helps".

i sent my son(8) into our local paper shop to buy himself a bottle of pop and some chewits (which i know cost a pound). he emerged with only three pounds change. i went in and asked the shop keeper who is a known dodgy character if he had perhaps made a mistake. he said no and i said fair enough and asked for two packs of cigarette papers. whilst he was opening a new box i pocketed two packs of aqua drops at 79p each, which left me 58p up on the deal. i think it is only fair that he stole my money(from a child) for me only to reclaim what is mine with interest. and before anyone says it i checked my sons pockets.

Hello,

As some of you may know I write a lot of lyrics for songs. I've been approached recently by another publisher that wishes to buy these songs from me, what advice would you give to me in a situation such as this?

Thanks,

For the past six months I've been working towards joining the British Army, i.e getting down the gym and working as much as I can to pay off debts I've aquired throughout my Uni days.
Due to the nature of the work I'll be doing in the Army, debts are considered as a potential character flaw, specifically the Armys concern is that debt could be used as an in for bribery.
Basically, I still owe around £5000 on credit cards and student overdrafts which I'm pretty sure will be flagged up when I go through DV (developed vetting) once I start my phase 1 training, and thus I'm sure I'll almost certainly be told to choose another job because of this.
My question is this; Is it wrong to ask my parents for a loan to get rid of these debts and therefore eliminate this potential failure to my vetting or not? I know it's not a huge amount of money, but for some reason it still seems a bit cheeky to consider asking. I would appreciate a neutral perspective on the situation. Thanks.

However, here's the catch 22. I pay off all of my debt, which after some time, looks GREAT on paper....however...bad for the bank because then my downpayment money will be gone!
My debt is not bad at all - $5000 max (1 cc and 2 student loans), Is it a bad idea to go into a home with that much debt, even though i'm making the timely payments?

After death, how long would it take to recieve funds split 4 ways equally? We have to pay various expenses from the life ins. There is no contesting, but am I correct in assuming the life ins. pays out rapidly, while the estate will pay outstanding debts, sell assets, divide, etc?

I am 21 now & my parents recenlty found a savings bond of mine that was issued in 1999 when i had graduated middle school. The savings bond is for 1,000.00 dollars. I am so confused about this savings bond stuff. I am looking to cash the bond and use it towards helping pay off some of my college classes but not sure of the amount I would get for it. If I cash it, will I actually get the 1,000.00 dollars or will it be more than that or less than that? I know the person who gave it to me only paid $500 for it so i was wondering if it is matured enough to actually cash and get the full one thousand that it says on the bond???

please someone help me figure this out, im not too knowledgable when it comes to finanicial stuff.

I appreciate it:)

Do you think raisng the minimum wage will actually help, or do you think that wholesalers and stock market speculators will just see it as another source of profit by pushing wholesale prices even higher? Example: Over 20% of the cost of fuel comes from stock market speculators buying oil futures, holding them back until the price goes up, than selling. This is done with food and all the necessities important to minimum wage earners.

After our divorce I signed what I believed was a quick claim deed on our home. He got everything because he was a *** and wanted to give to his girlfriend and I gave up fighting, he had more money to keep fighting me. Anyways, I asked him for a copy as I did not get one that day I was in a hurry. Now, I get online to check my credit and find out through that, that I have a mortgage in my name. If this is so and he is remarrying next month what exactly can I do about this to get it out of my name? Or if I can't can I get something out of it if it is in my name?

Gas has hit 3.00 a gallon here in central Florida
My last tank I bought on Friday was 95 dollars and it will last me one week. Or about 600 miles.I also put 25 dollars a week in my 4x4 truck to go trail riding in woods. So my total gas bill is about 130 dollars a week
Luckly my truck is paid off so I can afford it.
How is gas effecting you? and do you believe the economy is going to take a dump soon?
