i sent my son(8) into our local paper shop to buy himself a bottle of pop and some chewits (which i know cost a pound). he emerged with only three pounds change. i went in and asked the shop keeper who is a known dodgy character if he had perhaps made a mistake. he said no and i said fair enough and asked for two packs of cigarette papers. whilst he was opening a new box i pocketed two packs of aqua drops at 79p each, which left me 58p up on the deal. i think it is only fair that he stole my money(from a child) for me only to reclaim what is mine with interest. and before anyone says it i checked my sons pockets.

Was there nothing better than aqua drops?! Personally I would have gone for at least a packet of maltesers and a curly wurly. That would have made it all the sweeter ~;-}

Well, first of all two wrongs never make a right. And what you did was teaching your son a bad way to deal with something. And last of all you didn't like the charator of the store keeper, you don't like it that he cheats people but he got you to be just like him. Wrong is wrong.

Maybe your son lost the money by accident? What example are you setting for him by stealing from the shopkeeper?

No. what example are you setting your son here. Your teaching him that thiefing is acceptable.
Can you not report this shop keeper instead?

The shopkeeper won't learn any lessons because he won't realise that you have actually done it.
