There is no real way to stop a repo man. The repo man is simply a legalized car thief. Once he gets the call and paperwork, he will do whatever it takes to get that car. All you can do is talk to the bank or dealer and see if you can get a bit of mercy or defer a payment. I used to be a repo man, s I know garages, fences, other cars blocking my target are all inconvienient, but can be overcome. I can hook up and move a blocking car, bust through a locked gate and have even torn a garage door right off of the tracks. Of course the bank/dealer has to pay extra for such inconvienences, but in the end you'll have to pay the repo fee too. I've even offered cash bounties to friends and relatives once I have the car, but only paid once I had the car. I've seen parents turn in their own children for a nice crisp $50.00 bill.

You might want to call your finance company and see what sort of arragements you can make. Some finance companies will allow you to "extend" your payments for a few months so you can get caught up. Of course these extensions aren't a "use the car for free card", you'll still owe the payments-they just get added to the end of your repayment term. Keep in mind that this will increase the amount of interest you will re-pay.

obvious if they want your car the first thing they do is going to look for it at your house. if they see it there, they will take it. park the your car some where else or have it stored somewhere safe until you catch up with you payments.

You should work with your creditors so that they don't resort to repossession. Trust me, they don't want to go through the hassles involved in the repossession and won't if you can work with them and provide a better option for them.

Park in front of a wall in an ally. Have a friend park behind you. Pay your debt.
