i work in the electricians union in las vegas, we work from 3AM-2PM 11 hour days, 6-7 days a week, and its VERY physically demanding heavy lifting and all that , my feet and hands are in pain every day and im only 18, not to mention las vegas's 100+ heat, every day im miserable and hate my life, but the money is pretty good, do you think it would be worth it to quit? i was thinkin bout goin back to school, to study in culinary arts, but the cooks union around here isnt as much money, or i would take some business classes to and maybe open up my own shop, but i think i would enjoy it more, but who knows, do you think its worth the risk for me to quit, to try out a profession for less money, but may or may not like more? is hating your job just a part of life? or should i strive for a job i love?

Had following balances on December 31, 2002:
Interest receivable $2000 Prepaid insurance$5000
Wages Payable $36000 Unearned sales revenue $40000

Prepare journal entries to record these transactions:
During early 2003, $3000 cash was collected for interest, and $90 000 was paid out for wages.
Company's insurance policy expired in 2003, and a premium of $8000 was paid for a new one-year policy. Sales of $420 000 in 2003 included $40 000 of goods delivered to customers who had made advance payments during 2002.

I want to know whether it is a scam? I could not remember that I have applied for the job and without interview and exactly telling about the job requirements, the job has been offered with abnormal salary?

I am a caricature artist. I met a balloon guy at a function I was working at he offered to hook me up with some work.
I got a call from some woman who represents him today offering me a caricature job for Saturday. I told him work for $75 / hr (which is actually pretty cheap for someone with over 10 years exp. but I already have a full time job and I like doing caricatures so I don't mind.)

Anyway, they want me to collect $135 from the client and mail them the entire amount and THEN they will mail me a check.

I don't mind if someone takes 20% for hooking me up with work but 45% is really a lot for making a few phone calls.
Also, I've been screwed by balloon people/magicians in the past and I'm skeptical about trusting them to send me a check.

How would YOU guys handle this?

I changed from BT Broadband to a new provider on 25/06/07 that was the switch over day. Ive just received an online bill from BT for the period 13/06/07 to 11/09/07 seeing as I only had 12 days in that quarter with BT can anybody tell me if they`re entitled to charge me for the full quarter. I was`nt in contract with them and they have in fact already taken the money from my account. I cannot find any reference as to whether they`re entitled to do this and to try and contact them on the phone is a near impossibilty

The Fed keeps following a weak dollar policy, and the dollar keeps losing power. Now one Canadian Dollar is roughly worth one US Dollar. After World War I the Germans devalued the Marc to pay back creditors. With the US trade deficit, budget deficit, and war debt the only way the govt can keep up is by printing more funny money.

I work at a very large company, and they have had all of us on a 6-day, 48-hour a week mandatory overtime schedule. We are all tired, and have relatively no personal lives anymore. There are people who have children, elderly people, and people who go to college working at our company. Does this seem fair to take our private lives away, just to save money on new hires? We do belong to a union. Is there any way out of this? Ever? Help!

I am a couple of thousand dollars in debt and up to now, selling the land and getting some money out of it is the only thing i feel will help me pay for my credit card debt. Seems like everytime I turn around someone is trying to get either me or my husband to buy some Monavie or to come to one of their events to hear some poor girl with cancer give her testimonial to how wonderful this juice is and how it can make my life better - presumably so I'll sign up to sell it myself so I can sell this miracle juice to everyone I come into contract with.

Is there anyone out there with an opinion on this stuff? Has Monavie made a noticable difference in your health? Is this just another well marketed pyramid scheme? How much is a bottle supposed to cost? I'm told $30/bottle and a month's supply for one person is 4 bottles ($120/mo.)! Interested in your thoughts...
