The Fed keeps following a weak dollar policy, and the dollar keeps losing power. Now one Canadian Dollar is roughly worth one US Dollar. After World War I the Germans devalued the Marc to pay back creditors. With the US trade deficit, budget deficit, and war debt the only way the govt can keep up is by printing more funny money.

If our government keeps spending and the dollar keeps loosing value. Yes it will be come worthless.

short of the US government collapsing, the US Dollar will NEVER be worthless. The markets see to that because the dollar is the primary currency most trades are quoted in worldwide.

no, a weaker dollar will lead to more US exports since our goods will be cheaper overseas. Once all the international companies gain more revenues due to this and the markets go up causing inflation....interest rates will go back up and the dollar will strengthen and the cycle will repeat itself over and over again

Eventually if it doesn't stop falling, we're kind of screwed from the inflation. I heard that the penny may soon be announced as worthless.

It already is, it's not based on gold,silver,or even copper. It's just a piece of paper, likened to credit.......
