Is a human resources department likely to ask for confirmation from an examining board or more likely to accept the certificates that are provided by the prospective employee?

I believe that if a prospective employer requested this information from an examining board without the signed and dated permission of the prospective employee then it may be unlawful under the Data Protection Act?

why should i be denied access to lots of interesting documentaies and films, because a ridiculous protectionist region code apartheid system.
there are lots of americans missing out on my money because they are selling region.1 dvds, and i live in a region 2 area.
if you are going to have an apartheid system..at least dont split people who speak the same language!!

we were just talking about it at work, and this guy says, yes, an employer can lower your pay, if he so chooses to less than what you started at.....I say that isn't right, but he says he's right. Tried looking it up, but can't find anything related to that question....

I'm planning to create a website where i would sell handmade products, I would be making very little profit if any, so i don't want to waste hundreds on regeristing a name for something that i will be doing mainly for the experience, like a hobby.

could i get into trouble if i use a name that's registered AFTER i started using it? or will i just receive a C&D letter?

I received an offer on a position with a company I had been looking at now for a couple of years. It is a privately held company, that has had exceptional growth, and fosters a family first enviroment.

Unfortunately the offer was not as I had hoped. It is a 5% increase in salary from where I currently stand and the benefits are lacking. (Basically a wash) The job does offer a bonus every year equal to 15 - 20% of my income. (Currently no bonus) And they offer overtime, which is something that I am looking for to help supplement my income, which my last job didn't. Financially I can't afford to pass up on this opportunity, with a child on the way.

My question is if I try to negotiate a small increase, do I put myself at risk in losing this opportunity? How long does it typically take for HR to get back with you? Do I speak with them over the phone, or email, or letter? One of the interviewers told me that there were 80 people who applied, and they interviewed 7 people.

I just graduated from college and began working for a rapidly growing company as an accountant. I'm the youngest employee there and this is my first job in accounting which was my major. At a recent strategy meeting, all of the members of the accounting department were summoned to a meeting to discuss the future of the company and how it would impact us individually. Except me. I have the same responsibilities and job title as the others, who coincidentally began working there after I did.

Also, I find myself constantly performing tasks that the others in my department are not asked to do such as running errands for the CFO and doing the grocery shopping for the company. Am I just being too sensitive or am I being seen as less competent and important than my coworkers?

Say you enter a maximum bid of $50, does eBay immediately bid your $50 or does it go up slowly. E.g. Say the bidding is currently at $30 then it bids $32 and slowly goes up until it gets to $50, is that what happens?

Ok so I want this mp3 player rite. Whenever I place a bid for it like 3 bucks or something and click on the confirm bid it'll immediately say that someone else has out bid me. I've checked the bidding history and I'm the only one on there except he's on the top. It says that there's been 5 bids but I've made 4 of them and EVERYTIME I've bid it said that. How can this be?? How is it that he can do that so fast??

Most of the time, I hold up my end of the bargain and pay for what I order on eBay . Sonmetimes it takes me longer than I might like, and somebody puts in a complaint . Can eBay close down my account if I'm too late paying a dealer ? What's the worst that can happen ?

My grandma gives me money in secret, but now I have $58 bucks and my mom, dad, and sister know I have none. Problem is, I want a lot of things and I can't buy them. If I spend, my mom and dad get suspicious and think I stole from their wallets. I worked out a plan that I go to Albertsons or Rite Aid or Office Depot with my mom and say I'll need to go to the bathroom. Then I'll go to self-checkout (in Albertsons) and buy those $50 debit cards. I'll come back to my mom and go home after finished shopping. Not that easy. I'll never get to Albertsons within a century and Rite Aid and Office Depot are just as long. Help!
