or better still abolish region codes altogether?

why should i be denied access to lots of interesting documentaies and films, because a ridiculous protectionist region code apartheid system.
there are lots of americans missing out on my money because they are selling region.1 dvds, and i live in a region 2 area.
if you are going to have an apartheid system..at least dont split people who speak the same language!!

Since they have regions to reduce piracy and
They are dealing with high piracy rates ,
Then they will probably never change them until they have a new anti-copy encoding system that is invincible .

FYI - Region 0 players are available ( read all regions) AND
Region 1's players are soooo cheap , they borderline give them away with purchase at the grocery store .
Get a region 0 or 1 player if you want to watch a lot of those .
