I heard that i can...
1. Buy more tickets.
2. Go to the stores that sell the most winning tickets.
3. Pick numbers that come up most frequently
4. Play the smaller lottery games, where you pick less numbers and the prize is smaller

Are there any other tips or ways to increase my odds of winning?

Compute the future value at the end of the year 32 of $150 deposited every month for 22 years (with the first deposit made one month from today) into an account that pays 6 percent p.a. with semi-annual compunding.

OK...here is where I'm stumped. I understand that this is a 2 part question...the first part being an ordinary annuity for 22 years and the second part being a future value of a lump sum for 10 years. It is the ordinary annuity that is troubling me.

Here is what I entered in my finance calculator:

N=44 (22 years * 2 as the interest is compounded semi-annually)
PMT=150 * 6 = 900 (monthly payment * 6 as this is compounded only every six months so we are indiffernet between paying 150 a month or 900 every 6 months)
I/Y=3% (6p.a. / 2 as it is semi-annually compounded)
FV=?
Computed FV = 80,143.56820

Is this accurate or did I put the wrong information in for N and I/Y?

I've been in the retail world of home improvement for the past 14years. Every year making others more money than they are willing to share with the work force. Where can I find the backing to break out on my own? If I go to a bank should I or will I have to put my house's equity up for colateral?

To make a long story short, I had about 10 boxes and a few furniture items shipped from Florida to California. The company is Four Points Van Lines in South Florida. The company delivered way past the delivery date for starters they were about 2 weeks late, which i know things happen but the company never had the decency to call me and let me know, they said it wasn't their job. Then when finally i got my stuff delivered i called to find out who i made the cashiers check out to, and they said they would only except cash. Their contract said they accepted cash, money order, or cashiers check. I was told cash or they would not deliver my stuff. I complied and gave them cash. I recieved 10 boxes like i was supposed to and my furniture, but 1 box was empty and 3 were half full and all the tape was ripped off the boxes and my tv was broken! The company will not call me back i have submitted written and verbal complaint, i have contacted the better business bureau and consumer affairs.

I just got a job and they want me to bring in a cancelled check? Does this make any sense to anyone? Do they mean a voided check for direct deposit or something? Why would they want a cancelled check? How would I even get a cancelled check?

(Yes, I know I should just ask them, but I want to get some info first so that I don't seem like an idiot.)

Um,

This is scary but true, today I got a check for 4,800 bucks from some company called CIBT, Inc. It said lottery winner on top. At first glance I thought the check was some kind of loan check or void, just sample, but the check is good, ready to sign. But again, I don't know anything about this company CIBT or when I entered these sweepstakes. It says at the end, congrats.

It has a number that says call to confirm you have received your prize. But it says nothing about loan, refinance, etc.

What should I do?
